Currently I am working on a gallery wall for my home studio. I love having fun art and prints around me for inspiration! After taking a screen printing class last year, I have been inspired to search on Instagram and Etsy for designers who make unique screen-printed designs. Today I’m sharing my favourites with you.
Basil and Ford are a husband and wife duo who create tongue-in-cheek designs with a focus on great typography and colour. Their bold style caught my eye at a market a few years back and I often revisit their online store to find gifts and funny prints. The print pictured is from a limited collection where they screen printed onto vintage floral pages.
Hello Dodo are also a husband and wife team (how fun to be creative together!) who create super colourful puntastic designs from their home on the south coast of the UK. They print designs onto tote bags and sweaters as well as art to hang in the home. And if you’re looking for fun flair, they’ve got plenty of that too.
Ginger Doodles Designs was created by Gemma from her home in London. Her quirky card designs extend to bags, baby clothes and even travel wallets with biscuit prints on. If you follow along on Gemma’s social media, she also shares behind the scenes of creating the screen templates too.
Are there any screen printers out there I should be checking out? I’d love to know if you have been inspired by any!
