Five minutes with jewellery designer Sarah of Geo Heaven

Today I’m super excited to share this interview with an incredible jewellery designer, Sarah of Geo Heaven. Sarah designs the most incredible jewellery I’ve ever seen – it’s 3D! Read on more to find out all about Sarah and how she began her creative world!

Five minutes with

Hi there, can you tell the lovely Simple Stylish Makes readers a little bit about yourself?

Hello! I’m Sarah and I run a 3D printed jewellery company called Geo Heaven. I love geometric shapes and the colour yellow!

When did you start designing/making?

I seriously began designing and making last year when I came up with the idea for Geo Heaven, however I’ve always loved making things and I won 2 Blue Peter badges as a child. Last year I spent many months sketching ideas, making CAD designs and playing around with prototypes before launching the business at the end of November.

What do you love about designing/making?

I love making something that someone else might love to wear. It really does fill me with joy that there are people in the world wearing something that I’ve made. I find designing and making things very relaxing and it’s a good way to unwind at the end of the day.

Can you share any top designing/making tips?

Hang out with other creative people! They can lift you up, fill you with ideas and make you realise that they are human too with a real life that isn’t as beautiful as their Instagram feed! If you sell on Etsy then it’s worth joining your local team, think about joining a local WI or start a group yourself!

When you’re not designing/making, what do you like to do?

When I’m not making things, I like to watch crime dramas, Poirot is my absolute favourite! I also enjoy going for walks, listening to Podcasts and going out for dinner with my husband or friends.

Thanks so much, Sarah, it’s been great hearing about your creative world and how you got started. Keep up the incredible designs!
