Whether you want clearer skin, moisturized skin or less shiny skin, chances are your ideal face mask is actually already in your kitchen!! Most people don’t realize that you can make your own DIY face masks at home with results that are safe, real and so much better for you than harsh chemicals. Below are a list of DIY face masks and how you can use them to get the best results!

A face mask to moisturize your skin:

Mix half an avocado (mashed) with one teaspoon of yogurt, one teaspoon of olive or coconut oil and two teaspoons of honey. Apply liberally to your face and leave on for 25-30 minutes. This mask is super hydrating and will leave your face with a beautiful glow. Wash off with warm water and put on some moisturizer before a big day without makeup!

A simple face mask for glowing skin:

Mix 2 tablespoons of natural plain yogurt (the better quality the yogurt, the better the mask will work) with 2 teaspoons of lemon juice. Apply to your clean, makeup-free face and leave for 15-20 minutes. Wash off with warm water, splash your face with a little cold water and apply moisturizer. Do this twice a week (tops) before bed for 1 month for best results!

A face mask to tighten your skin:

Mix half a teaspoon of coconut oil, 1 egg white and half a teaspoon of lemon juice together and apply to your face. Leave this mask on for 20-25 minutes and then wash off very carefully with warm water. When washing off this face mask, use a face cloth and move the cloth in small circular movements for extra exfoliation. Don’t use this face mask more than once in a week.

A face mask to reduce redness:

Mix 2 tablespoons of honey, 1 teaspoon of ground cinnamon and 1 teaspoon of ground nutmeg and heat gently in the microwave. When the mask is warm (not hot!!) apply to face while gently rubbing to get a gentle exfoliation. Leave the mask on for 15 minutes and wash off gently with warm water. Make sure to moisturize as soon as you wash off this mask and only use the mask twice in a week!
