Iced Tea Recipes

As someone who is mostly caffeine free, I usually turn to fruit teas instead of coffee. In the summer I like refreshing drinks and often make my own iced tea experimenting with lots of different fruit flavours. Today I thought I would share some of my favourites with you today.

Strawberry Cranberry and Orange Iced Tea

Brew a small tea pot of loose leaf strawberry and orange tea. In a jug make up one part brewed tea (left to go cold), one part cold water and one part fresh cranberry juice. Add orange slices and a sweetener if you like then refridgerate!

Peach Iced Tea

Make a peach syrup by heating 3 ripe peaches with 1 cup of sugar and 250ml of water in a pan. Mash the peaches with a fork as they soften and keep on a low heat for 10 minutes. Allow to cool off the heat and blitz in a food processor. Strain and mix some of the syrup with 1 litre of regular tea – how much you add depends on how sweet you like it!

 Raspberry Mango Iced Tea

Brew a strong pot of English breakfast tea, strain and add an equal amount of cold water once it has cooled. Add 2 cups of mango juice and honey to sweeten. Garnish with handfuls of raspberries and mint sprigs for garnish.

I love making these teas for picnics and garden parties. Don’t forget to share your recipes with us too!
